Cow magnet is a kind of permanent magnet  product used as a medical device to treat or prevent of hardware disease which easily happened in cattle/cows. During grazing in farm, cattle or cows usually eat some other objects like nails or other metallic parts from grass. They don’t chew the food completely but swallow them directly.

The nails and other sharp metallic objects cannot be digested and which will be the main cause of hardware disease.

Ceramic Cow Magnets

On the one hand, cow magnet can attract metallic objects like nails, screws and wires from the feed. On the other hand, if these metallic objects were swallowed by cow by accident, a cow magnet can be passed orally through a tube into the rumen of the cow and attract the iron parts. Cow magnets can protect the digestive tract from being damaged by sharp nails or other iron objects and protect cow’s stomach. There will be no any side effects at all.

Normally, cow magnets are made of alnico magnets  in a shape of smooth rod or a same shaped magnetic assembly of ferrite ring permanent magnets and a stainless steel core.
